Meet Jacquie Esser – Candidate for Honolulu Office of Prosecutor.
A Real Reformer for Honolulu, Oahu
Jacquie attended the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a law degree from the University of Hawai‘i William S. Richardson School of Law.
Prior to attending law school, Jacquie moved to Tonga and volunteered at the Tonga National Youth Congress. While in Tonga, she worked to provide programs to Tongan youth that focused on responsibility, community service, and leadership.
For the last decade, Jacquie has worked to reform the criminal justice system as a Deputy Public Defender, demanding fair treatment and justice for Honolulu citizens of all backgrounds.
Despite the grueling rigors of her job, she continues her advocacy well beyond normal office hours. Jacquie volunteers with organizations that empower women and serve underprivileged communities.
Also, like many other people in Hawai‘i, mental illness and substance use disorder have affected her family and friends. Her professional and personal experiences make Jacquie uniquely equipped to create a Prosecutor’s Office that encourages rehabilitation, stabilization, and reintegration in the community whenever possible.
Furthermore, as a mother to a precious five-year-old daughter, Jacquie is fiercely dedicated to making our island home safer for everyone.
Jacquelyn (Jacquie) has the training, experience, work ethic, and leadership to run the Prosecutor’s Office. Let’s bring change, lets bring new ideas and lets bring new leadership to the Honolulu prosecutor’s office.
I am Jacquie Esser, Honolulu Prosecutor Candidate, and I humbly ask for your support in this incredibly important race for our new prosecuting attorney. Join Jacquie in her Honolulu Prosecutor election team today and be part of the movement.
